Catching the Big Fish

Catching the Big Fish offered an opportunity to explore a new iteration of the “Étendue” series, initiated in 2017, and to reconnect with a more instinctive, material-driven approach. I reintroduced salt — a material that has long been central to my practice — to continue this sensitive exploration of textures and transformation.
In collaboration with Danae Hoffman and Alice Tioli, we conceived the exhibition as a coherent whole, reflecting on the relationships between our respective works. Envisioned as a bath, an immersion, the installation invites visitors into a contemplative atmosphere, conducive to meditation and attentive perception.
