‘Librarsi’ is the result of research that goes beyond precise musical labelling. Jazz elements are mixed with typical folk/pop forms and classical and contemporary arrangements and orchestrations. The project is the true expression of what modern music is: a maelstrom of genres, styles, sounds and instruments that no longer recognise precise boundaries.
Moreover, it is the first result of the meeting between Corrado Cerutti and Sara Simionato, which made it possible to find a common aesthetic that fully reflects the musical values expressed. The compositions and sound colours are constantly evolving with the desire to experiment with different ensembles and different instruments.
The first album will be released in January 2025 and will be accompanied by three video clips made together with Swiss artist Anna Caiata. The visuals express, through light and playful drawings, the meaning of the lyrics that paint our sound world. We worked to find visual loops that somehow matched the musical ones, creating a connection between text, music and images.
